The monitoring of computer systems should be completed with computer maintenance .

It allows us to know much better the computer system, its evolution, prevent failures, detect anomalies, optimize the use of resources and receive alerts.

Network monitoring

Through monitoring we can improve the knowledge and network management, we check the topology, hierarchy and bandwidth of the network.

The monitoring allows us to see the operation of the installed network and how it affects the inclusion of new servers, equipment and services.

After performing an analysis we can:

  • Bottleneck detection.
  • What equipment consume louder band.
  • The bandwidth necessary for the server and improve its performance.
  • Bandwidth consumption of certain tasks such as backups.
  • Application bandwidth consumption and irregularities detection.
  • Collision in the use of bandwidth in scheduled tasks
  • Avoid misuse of bandwidth.
  • Avoid unauthorized connections.

Servers monitoring

Hardware monitoring : It allows us to collect information from the statement of the installed hardware and detect anomalous behaviors of possible components to intervene before a breakage arrives, as well as measure certain parameters such as the temperature to verify that each of the components be refrigerated correctly, check the state of the discs, the RAM ...

Software monitoring : Correct start and stop of automated services, memory consumption and their service failures, intruder detection, detection of services or unexpected applications, network use, disc consumption, consumption of the processor for services ...

Equipment monitoring

Know what equipment and when they are on, the use they make of common resources such as the network, to which equipment they connect, what applications they have installed, which are used and what consumption do they do of equipment resources, virus detection, unauthorized connections and hardware status.

The consumption study will also allow better decisions about the configuration that is needed to acquire to work with the tools used to perform the work, being able to save costs and/or improve performance.
