The pharmaceutical giant Hefame, beaten billing record thanks to digital transformation
Hefame takes another step in his bet for digital.
Grupo Hefame , the pharmaceutical colossus with more than 70 years of experience and headquarters in Santomera and Cartagena, takes another step and bets on digital to update their sector.
Enrique Ayuso, president of the company, announced a new strategic plan in 2021 that includes digital transformation and CSR as the main axes of its growth strategy . This plan, for the first time, will be biannual, that is, it will cover a smaller period than that established by the previous plans, which used to be around between 3 and 4 years.
The main reason for a short -term strategic plan is the uncertainty that is being lived in these moments. Ayuso summarizes, during the 'I digital encounter with the specialized media', that " new challenges require new strategies ", in addition to ensuring that working in the short term obtaining information continuously through this new method, will allow them to " adapt the actions to the changing situation, be more agile when reorienting our planning, reduce the impact on the company of possible changes and define our direction according to the situation."
" Hephame's commitment to digital transformation has made us leaders in the sector , with powerful digital developments that are allowing pharmacies to manage their relationship with the patient and their own businesses as we could not imagine a few years ago," said the Cooperative's dispensing.
To continue advancing, they intend to convert what has called ' advanced digital transformation ' into one of the axes of its strategic plan 2021-2022.
Thanks to this digital transformation , Hefame will improve services with partners, for which he intends to facilitate the integration of community pharmacies into the health system, optimize their internal processes, and expedite the implementation of strategic projects and also will modernize the concept of traditional pharmacy .
To justify this purpose, the president has referred to an Accenture , in which only companies that promote their digital transition and sustainability are declared, may be the 'leaders of tomorrow ' and will leave before and most strengthened from the COVID-19 crisis.
Figures that maeran
Hefame billed 1,400 million euros at 2020 . This figure exceeds one hundred million at the beginning of its 2018-2020 plan and beats its billing record after 2019.
The general director of the Cooperative, Javier López , has announced that it is " a new historical milestone that shows the stability of the company ." According to López, "he has been able to grow in a year as complex as the past, marked by the huge health, social and economic crisis that has brought pandemic."
Both the growth of its own product brand, Intempothek , and the number of spaces that have begun to occupy in pharmacies have experienced great growth. As for billing, it has gone from 10.6 million euros in 2017 to the 15.2 million currently invoicing . In addition, to have almost 700 new spaces in pharmacies.
Regarding the number of pharmaceutical or parapharmacy references distributed by this company, it has passed from 57,000 to 110,000.
The company also represents a large volume of work , with more than 1,000 employees and service more than 6,000 pharmacies, around 48,000 daily orders and 10,000 installments daily.
Since 2017, its F+ project has experienced another great promotion. The number of adhered pharmacies has gone from 4 to 100 and the pharmacies that have joined their F+online has increased more than half, having 142,000 clients who already have a social card.
New strategies
The digital transformation also allows establishing collaboration relations in projects with other companies that help the company to reverse the benefit of its partners , through an approach of their service to the partner, with the implementation of stores such as Riba-Roja, in Valencia, which will be underway at the end of the first semester of this year.
To maintain this growth in the market, it is necessary to diversify its activity, for which they will improve its collaboration with the Administration , "to which we will offer our logistics for specific collaboration agreements", and with the industry, "with which we will establish, as we said, synergies related to our logistics activity," said the president of Hefame.
